About NextSelf: Transformation Helper
NextSelf: Transformation Helper is a personal growth and identity-based habit-building app. It helps users define identities, create actions, save cues, set reminders, reflect on progress, and build personal routines through small, consistent steps.
The App is designed to support self-improvement. It is not intended to replace professional advice, medical treatment, mental health care, financial advice, legal advice, emergency support, or any other professional service.
Eligibility
The App is intended for a general audience, but it is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your country or region, you should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly direct the App to children under 13.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful, personal, and appropriate purposes. You agree not to:
- Misuse, copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except where allowed by law
- Use the App for illegal, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or misleading purposes
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or normal operation of the App
- Use the App to store, export, or share content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, harmful, or violates third-party rights
- Attempt to bypass purchase, license, or access controls
- Copy, resell, redistribute, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission
- Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws, Google Play policies, app store policies, or third-party rights
Local-First App and Your Data
The App is designed as a local-first app. In the current Android release, the information you create inside the App is generally stored on your device, unless you choose to export, share, or back up that information using your device or third-party services.
Local App data may include:
- Identities you create
- Habits, actions, and small steps; Start Small actions
- Cues, source notes, quotes, lessons, and situational reminders
- Reflection answers or personal notes
- Habit logs and completion history
- Progress information, identity score, and journey/timeline data
- Notification preferences, reminder settings, snooze settings, or quiet-mode preferences
- Backup files you choose to export
Backup and Restore
The App may allow you to manually export and restore backup files. Backup files may contain your identities, habits, actions, cues, reflections, logs, progress data, reminder settings, and related metadata.
You are responsible for choosing where to save backup files, protecting backup files, avoiding accidental sharing, restoring the correct backup file, and understanding that restoring a backup may replace your current local App data.
Notifications and Reminders
The App may provide local reminders or notifications if you enable them. Notifications are intended only as gentle reminders. They do not guarantee that you will complete any habit, action, goal, or routine.
You can manage notification permissions through the App settings or your device settings. Notification content may appear on your device lock screen depending on your device settings.
No Professional Advice
The App is for general personal growth and self-improvement purposes only. The App does not provide medical advice, mental health diagnosis or treatment, therapy, counselling, financial advice, legal advice, professional fitness advice, nutrition advice, or emergency support.
Any content, prompt, cue, reflection, suggestion, template, or message shown in the App is for general informational and motivational purposes only. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions related to your health, mental health, finances, legal matters, safety, or other important life areas.
Personal Responsibility and No Guaranteed Results
The App may help you organise habits, reminders, cues, and reflections, but your results depend on your own decisions, actions, consistency, environment, and personal circumstances.
We do not guarantee that using the App will result in habit formation, personal transformation, improved health, improved productivity, improved emotional wellbeing, improved finances, career success, relationship improvement, or any specific outcome. The App is a tool — it does not replace your own judgment, responsibility, or effort.
User Content
You may create or enter content inside the App, such as identity names, habit names, cues, source notes, reflections, and personal reminders ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content. You are responsible for the User Content you create, store, export, restore, or share. You should avoid entering highly sensitive information that you do not want stored on your device or included in a backup file.
We do not claim ownership over your User Content.
App Content and Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, layout, text, branding, features, templates, visual elements, and software, is owned by or licensed to CapeMinds Solutions and Services Pvt Ltd.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, sell, resell, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from the App or its content except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
Templates, Suggestions, and App Messages
The App may include templates, habit suggestions, cue suggestions, reflection prompts, onboarding prompts, reinforcement messages, comeback messages, or other app-generated guidance.
These are provided for general guidance only. You should review and adapt them based on your personal needs and circumstances. We do not guarantee that any template, suggestion, prompt, or message will be suitable for every user.
Free Starter Access and One-Time Lifetime Unlock
The App may be free to install and may include limited starter access. Full access may require a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact features included in the free starter access and lifetime unlock may be shown in the App or Google Play listing before purchase.
A one-time lifetime unlock means you pay once through Google Play Billing to unlock the paid features made available for that purchase in the current Android version, subject to these Terms, applicable law, Google Play rules, technical limitations, and future compatibility.
The lifetime unlock is not a subscription and does not automatically renew. We do not currently offer recurring subscription plans for the App.
Payments and Google Play Billing
For the current Android release distributed through Google Play, purchases of paid digital features are processed through Google Play Billing.
We do not directly collect or store your credit card, debit card, UPI, banking, or payment instrument details when purchases are processed by Google Play.
Your purchase may be subject to Google Play's payment, refund, tax, account, family sharing, device, region, and platform rules.
Purchase Restoration and Platform Limits
Where supported by Google Play and the App, you may be able to restore a previous purchase on the same Google Play account used to make the original purchase. Purchase restoration may depend on your Google Play account, device, operating system, region, Google Play policies, and technical availability.
If you reinstall the App, change devices, reset your device, or clear app data, access to paid features may depend on using the same Google Play account used for the original purchase.
Cancellation and Refunds
Because the App uses a one-time lifetime unlock and does not use subscriptions, there is no recurring subscription to cancel.
Refunds for purchases made through Google Play are generally handled according to Google Play refund policies and applicable law. We may not be able to issue refunds directly for purchases processed by Google Play.
If a refund is granted, access to paid features may be removed, disabled, limited, or made read-only where technically possible and permitted by Google Play rules.
Third-Party Platforms and Services
The App may interact with third-party platforms and services such as Google Play, your device operating system, file picker, share sheet, cloud storage location chosen by you, or notification system.
Your use of third-party platforms or services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and payment rules. We are not responsible for third-party services, Google Play, platforms, storage providers, or apps you use to save, share, restore, or manage backup files.
Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how information is handled.
App Availability and Updates
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, compatible, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every device, operating system, country, platform, or user.
We may update, modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. Updates may include bug fixes, design changes, new features, removal of features, compatibility updates, security improvements, or changes required by Google Play policies or applicable law.
Some updates may be required for continued use of the App. We are not responsible if an older version of the App stops working due to operating system changes, device changes, store policy changes, or technical limitations.

Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CapeMinds Solutions and Services Pvt Ltd., its owners, employees, contractors, partners, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your User Content
- Your violation of applicable law
- Your sharing, loss, or misuse of backup files
- Your violation of third-party rights
- Your attempt to bypass purchase, payment, or access controls
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or paid features if you violate these Terms, if required by law or Google Play policy, or if continued access would create legal, security, or operational risk.
Because the App is local-first and may not require an account, we may not always be able to remotely terminate local access to offline features already installed on your device. However, access to paid features, purchase restoration, updates, or Google-Play-managed services may be affected.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
